The City’s historic 17th Street Farmers’ Market and the Enrichmond Foundation are partnering to bring the first RVA Crafted Beer and BBQ festival to Shockoe Bottom. The festival will be held on Sunday, August 12 from noon to 5 p.m. Entrance to the event and on-street parking is free.
August is Virginia Craft Brew Month and to celebrate, the City’s 17th Street Farmers’ Market will host 16 of the best Virginia hand-crafted beer makers. These crafted beers will be paired with more than a dozen of the best Metro-Richmond BBQ masters preparing their moist, succulent smoked chicken, pork and beef favorites in tantalizing sauces along with some amazing side dishes.
Come and learn about our State’s ever-growing craft beer industry from the experts. Music will be provided by the classic rock group The Son’s of Zebedee and the Richmond Blues Band. Free transportation will be provided throughout the day by To The Bottom and Back bus service and will service the Shockoe Bottom, Shockoe Slip, Fan District and Carytown areas.
If you plan on sampling the beer, please bring a valid form of identification. RVA-B-Que is a family-friendly event and the festival will offer plenty of non-alcoholic beverages.
